Q: Does having so much money actually make you happy?

A: Money itself does not make people happy. But there are interesting studies that show that higher income often correlates with more happiness – only up to a certain point, though. At some point, more money does not mean more happiness. What’s the reason for that? Well, what really makes us happy are good relationships with other people, experiencing things together and building deep relationships. To summarize: If you don’t have to worry about money all the time, it’s just easier. Are you happier with 100 million than with 10? Not necessarily. Are you happier with 1 million than with $10,000 as your net worth? Maybe still not, but there’s a higher chance it might make more of a difference.
